Notre Rêve
is a family friendly self catering, traditional, cosy Savoyard wood
built chalet located in the authentic village resort of Bernex, south of
Lake Geneva. Ideally located for both summer and winter pursuits for
both young and old alike.
Bernex is situated in the north mountains of the Haute Savoie area of
the Alps – known as the Chablais Region. It is just over an hour from
Geneva Airport, or a 10 hour drive from UK, or take the train to Evian
and hire a car/taxi and drive to Bernex in under 15 minutes.
The detached chalet is in a fantastic location with stunning views and
in excellent order throughout. It is well equipped, even for those that
have very young families.
In the Winter, Bernex offers its own ski area of just over 50 km,
between 1000 and 2000 metres, with a variety of runs to suit all levels
and also breathtaking views of Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc. Bernex boasts
52 snow canons with its own water reservoir.
The Ecole du Ski de France (ESF) is based at the resort and so you can
book ski tuition to suit your needs. Winter walking and cross country
skiing are further activities that the Bernex valley, plateau du Gavot,
has to offer, together with sleigh rides and sledging.
Whilst Bernex offers sufficient skiing, there is also Thollon les
Memises 10 minutes away, together with La Chapelle d’Abondance, under 30
minutes away which is linked to the vast Portes du Soleil ski area.
In the summer Bernex offers plenty of activities – tennis, pétanque,
horse riding, mountain biking, parapente, fishing and rafting, together
with recreational and cultural activities.
Golf, sailing, swimming, climbing, paragliding, white-water rafting and
canyoning at Lake de la Beunaz, and the famous Dent d’Oche at 2222
metres high for those keen for a challenge, and for those less
adventurous there are many ramblers paths which accommodate all levels.
If the local activities are not enough, Lake Geneva and Evian are 15
minutes away, have many attractions such as water sports, spa & thermal
baths, beaches and bars to give you that waterside feel – not to mention
Evian mineral water! There is also a local distillery in Bernex which
you can visit and sample local products. Alternatively, just sit back,
relax and enjoy the views and atmosphere of this naturally beautiful
area.
The Chalet: has 4 double bedrooms,
two with double beds and two with twins. There is also a double sofa bed
and single futon should you require these.
Three bedrooms are on the second floor, two of which have lovely
balconies with fantastic views, with a bathroom and separate loo. One
bedroom is on the first floor with shower room and separate loo.
The kitchen is separate and the sitting room is open plan, as is the
dining room which has double doors to a spacious balcony with fantastic
views.
The garden surrounds the house, so plenty of room to kick a football,
play chase or just relax. We also have table tennis in the basement
which can provide hours of family entertainment, not to mention
competition!
There is a garage and outside parking for several cars and a lockable
ground floor utility area for you to keep skis, sledges, mountain bikes,
walking boots etc. The chalet has a private fenced garden.
