Located on the village outskirts of Saint-Etienne-en-Cogles,
this pretty
cottage has been recently built on the site of a former barn, which
adjoins the British owner's house and is fully equipped and fitted to
extremely high standards.
Le Fouillarde is ideally positioned for fast and easy access to the
Emerald coast. Saint Malo, walled city and seaport, has superb beaches
and local secluded coves. Nearby are coastal villages, such as Cancale,
noted for local oysters, mussels and superb seafood restaurants. Le Mont
Saint Michel is considered the eighth wonder of the world and is an
absolute must on the itinerary. Year-round, this region also offers a
wide range of activities. Catering for those of a sporting bent: golf,
horse-riding, fishing, sailing and white water canoeing are all
available, or simply just enjoy walking and cycling throughout the
network of pretty country lanes.
The property is centrally located to many historical towns as: Fougères
famed for the largest fortified medieval chateau in Europe. Dinan, a
medieval walled city with timber-framed houses and small port on the
river Rance. Vitré has an imposing medieval chateau, quaint streets and
timber framed houses. Traditional Breton Pageants and Festivals are
regular events in the historic towns. Their museums, art galleries and
craft fairs are well worth a visit.
The Breton people are rightly proud of their Celtic culture; they are
noted for their warmth and hospitality towards visitors and endeavour to
make their stay a pleasurable experience; the area abounds with pretty
towns and villages, many of which have colourful weekly markets
specialising in fresh local produce including cheeses, honey and
seafood. This is a renowned gastronomic area whose restaurants can offer
the diner excellent fare at very affordable prices.
The accommodation, which will comfortably sleep up to six persons, is
built on three levels and comprises living / dining room with separate
kitchen.
Two double bedrooms, shower / washroom with toilet and further
mezzanine bedroom (twin beds) with washbasin.
The cottage has modern
electric heating and is well insulated making it an excellent choice for
year-round occupation.
It has its own secluded garden with dining area and barbecue, and good
private parking is available for up to three vehicles.

Bookings normally run from Saturday – Saturday, but some flexibility may
be offered out of season
