We have watersports such as kayaking, canoeing and sailing available on
the beautiful lake. There is a modern outdoor pool with a slide etc. and
local tennis courts are available for hire. Fishing in the lake can be
arranged.

centres which arrange lessons and treks. A nearby karting track is
available for the big boys.
For any not so nice days there is an ice skating rink and indoor bowling
in St Brieuc (approx. 30 minutes drive) and also a Bowling Alley in Dinan.

Dinan, a medieval town, is a must for a day out with its well preserved
castle, quaint streets and buildings. The famous Rue Jerzual is a very
steep narrow lane down to the old port of Dinan but the way back is not
for the fainthearted!! It has a very large market here in the middle of
the town on a Thursday morning.
St Malo, is not just a port but a beautiful town in its own right, the
walled city, was heavily bombed during the second world war, but has
been wonderfully restored and is full of sights, good restaurants and
shops. There is also a very good aquarium which is worth a visit.
Mont St Michel is a stunning place to visit only 1 hour's drive from the
house.
It is built out into the bay and the town is topped by an amazing abbey,
the spires of which can be seen inland for miles. The tidal ranges are
world famous and it is said the incoming tide can beat a galloping
horse!
Market days vary, there is a small market in the village on a Friday
morning, although Dinan on Thursday mornings and Dinard on Saturday
morning are probably the largest and well worth a visit to buy typical
Breton presents and souvenirs.

Our nearest port is St Malo (just half an hour from
