is surrounded by quiet countryside and set in 3 acres of beautiful
gardens and grounds with a swimming pool. Located halfway between the
Loire Valley and Chablis in northern Burgundy, it is approximately 95
miles south of Paris, 30 minutes from the A6 and not far from the
historic town of Auxerre.
The accommodation
is perfect
for two people to relax and unwind in our self-contained, well
established and thoughtfully equipped studio apartment which is part of
the main house and offers the following:

Own entrance via external staircase and small viewing
balcony.

One very large airy studio room sleeps 2 (1 double)
with kitchen/dining, seating and sleeping areas.

Large separate shower room.

Equipment includes microwave, TV, DVD player and
music centre.

Take time
to explore this interesting region of France where you can taste fine
Bourgogne wines and food and enjoy a variety of sights and activities,
some of which are listed below:

Lac Reservoir Du Bourdon. Tranquil fresh water lake with trees near
the waters edge for shade on hot days. Swim, fish, hire a boat, or
just relax. 15 minutes by car.

Walk through rural countryside or alongside canals; all marked and
mapped.

Cyclists will find quiet lanes and picturesque villages to explore
or take the veloroute south of Auxerre and follow the canal.

Auxerre city of art and history with narrow winding
streets beside the River Yonne. City of churches, dominated by the
cathedral of Saint-Etienne. 40/45 minutes by car.

Golfers can enjoy the greens of Domaine de Roncemay.

St. Fargeau a picturesque and historic small market town with its
Chateau which in July/August hosts a large son et Lumiere with over
600 actors taking part. 10 minutes by car.

Guédelon, near the Lac du Bourdon.
Amidst wooded glades is Guédelon, a 25 year project
to reconstruct a medieval castle using original building techniques.
25 minutes by car.

Briare. Take a boat trip where the Pont Canal
(Canal-Bridge) crosses the Loire. Opened in 1896 it took 5 years to
build. Measuring 662 metres and 69 centimetres it is amongst the
longest of its kind in the world. 30 minutes by car.

Chablis vineyards trace a history back to 867 when
Charles le Chauve founded a small monastery at Saint-Loup and
investigated the possibility of planting vines. An hour by car.

Sancerre, on a hill overlooking vineyards and the
Loire. Breath taking views; lots of wine to taste and buy. An hour
by car.

There are plenty of good restaurants; nearest,
approximately 10 minutes walk.

Local shops at Champignelles (2 miles) include a supermarket, bakers
and pharmacy.
