La Grange is situated between Saint Segal and Pont de Buis and we have a Casino supermarket only 3 mins walk away. Both towns have banks, shops, post offices, restaurants and boulangeries.  Chateaulin our nearest largest town is only 7 km and also has restaurants, supermarkets, a market on Thursdays etc. The picturesque Port Launay with its houses reflected in the River Aulne is only 4 km away. Fishing for Salmon in the river Aulne is permitted and permits can be obtained at Chateaulin, as well as tennis & an indoor swimming pool. Horse riding is 3 km at Saint Segal on top class horses; the rides take you along the banks of the River Aulne. Golf is available at Brest Iriose, a 15 min. drive towards Brest or at Benodet and Foret de Fousenant; my husband can recommend all 3 courses. Beaches at St. Nic and Kervigen are 15 mins away and are un-crowded all year round with the even sea beds make them safe for swimming. Cycling is very popular and there are several routes around the River Aulne plus there is a cycle hire shop in Chateaulin.
Oceanapolis, which features huge aquariums divided into 3 regions and range from tropical to polar, is at Brest and is well worth a visit. For a great family day out, there is also La Recre, a family theme park situated around a pretty lake with rides for children & adults, we can personally recommend both to you. Douarnenez is a thriving port town with fabulous sea food restaurants and pretty beaches en-route. Quimper is only 20 mins drive with its' cathedral, market on Thursdays and is definitely worth seeing with a great selection of shops.

La Grange, self catering:
La Grange is a very attractive recently converted stone longere draped in Virginia creeper. The property consists of a large open plan kitchen with fixed units, double sink, new fridge, new cooker, microwave and is fully equipped with new cutlery/crockery, pots & pans, pirex dishes etc. A large farmhouse kitchen table seating six sits in front of a log burner within a huge Breton fireplace. There is also a useful utility room with new washing machine and a large bathroom with bath/shower.

The first staircase leads to the double bedroom with storage cupboard, clothes rail and has 2 velux windows, all furniture and beds are new. Through the lounge downstairs which has a tiled floor, rugs, new dvd and colour t.v, leather suite, new double click clack sofa bed, bookcase, cd`s and dvd`s and radio cassette player, is a second set of stairs which leads to the twin bedroom, as there is plenty of room there is an option to have a 3rd single bed if required, also there is a clothes rail and cupboard and velux window. A brand new travel cot with bedding and a cot/bed for toddlers is also available upon request, we also have a Maclarens' buggy and potties & highchair if needed.

Clean pillows and duvets, singles and doubles are provided but we ask that you provide your own linen & towels. Linen can be provided and beds made up for your arrival for a small extra charge.
All electricity is supplied by a 2 euro coin meter which is set at the standard rate. Outside there are 8000m2 of tranquil gardens for you to enjoy, they are safe and enclosed (no ponds) we provide sun loungers, BBQ, table tennis, bikes, swings, rope ladder etc. and garden furniture, parasol, a washing line, within the garden there are cherry trees, apples & pears, damson, chestnuts, conkers, mimosa, magnolia, plums, strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries, redcurrants, blackcurrants and there is an enclosed vegetable garden.
