We have the advantage of long hot summers here ( without the humidity).
It stays hot through into October.
For those interested in a Spring, Summer or Autumn holidays there are
many local activities/attractions. There are mapped routes for
walking/hiking, cycling and horse riding, Quad biking. There is also
fishing and swimming in the local lakes. There are a couple of
children's play areas with swings and slides etc, as well as tennis
courts. The surrounding area has a great deal to offer, with many
interesting towns and villages offering excellent shopping and
restaurants, there are also local activities all through the summer
months such as fetes and festivals most of which are free of charge.
Apart from the fantastic scenery there are caves and ruins also to be
explored.
The Property:
A large spacious 3 bedroomed house in a quiet village located in the
mountains of the Pyrenees-Orientales.
The house has been tastefully restored and retains its' French style. It
has a large lounge with a woodburning stove for those snowy winter
evenings. All bedrooms are double size and have wall mounted electric
heating.
There is a fully equipped kitchen and dining area off the lounge in an
open plan arrangement. Local shop, post office and bar/restaurant 3mins
walk.
Facilities are as
follows: Luxurious Log fire, General TV, CD player, Standard Kettle,
Toaster, Iron, Hair dryer,
Utility Clothes dryer, Cooker, Microwave, Fridge. 3 Bedrooms (2 x double
beds, 1 x 2 single beds), Shower room, WC. Cot, Highchair, Dining
seating for 6, Lounge seating for 6, Sleeps maximum of 6. Access Parking
space.
Camurac area
Skiing is the main attraction here in the winter. Camurac is at
an altitude of 1200m and the ski station takes you up to as much as
1800m.There are 16 pistes to choose from starting from the very easy to
the very difficult. The area is also excellent for Nordic type skiing as
well as snow boarding and snow shoes. There are disco's and casinos
nearby for those with any energy left; also within an hours drive you
have the ancient roman thermal baths. For those who like duty free
shopping Andorra is just an hour away. Petrol there is cheaper than
France or England. From there, Spain is just another hours drive.

Carcassonne, Toulouse and Perpignan
We strongly advise car hire for this holiday as a
car is essential.
Car hire available at all airports - for best deals check with your
flight company.
