These two traditional South Burgundy farmhouses, are comfortable and spacious with splendid views and gardens. Only 15 minutes by car from Cluny, their character has been preserved, though extensively modernised with white walls, massive chestnut beams and pine parquet flooring. Both have an open gallery typical of the region. A commanding position gives extensive views across pastureland, rolling hills and forests to Mount St. Cyr in the distance. Bucolic and away from it all, but near to civilisation when needed they are the perfect place to unwind.

Location:
Excellent base for visiting Southern Burgundy a tranquil region of great natural beauty with a superb architectural heritage. This includes cathedrals, several chateaux and some of the finest Romanesque churches in France. The area is rich in charming small towns, lively markets, prehistoric sites and gastronomic delights, of which the best chocolate maker in France, delicious honey and good wine (close to the Beaujolais and Mâconnais). Lake/pool swimming, tennis, golf, bike hire within easy reach.

La Place 1
The house is approached up a short flight of steps to the open gallery. This leads directly into the living room with its large stone fireplace and Burgundian armoire. To the left is the kitchen and its two terraces. One faces east and is ideal for breakfast in the early morning sun. The other faces south and gives access to the garden. There are two double bedrooms and another with two single beds. Also a bathroom with shower, bath, washbasin and WC. A second WC and washbasin is to be found at the end of the covered gallery. In front of the house is a large grassy courtyard and there is a garden on two other sides. A barbecue and plenty of garden furniture are provided.

La Place 2
The house is approached up a short flight of steps to the south facing open gallery. This leads directly into the large farmhouse kitchen with its dresser and wood burning stove. A door from the kitchen gives access to a spacious lounge, constructed out of what was once the barn. There are four bedrooms and a bathroom with shower, washbasin, bath and WC. Also a shower room with washbasin and WC. Ample space for outside eating and sunbathing can be found on the terraces or lawn to the south and east of the house. A barbecue and plenty of garden furniture are provided.
