Situated on the West side of Cannes is Cannes La Bocca. It is a nice bustling area and as it does not depend on tourism alone it has something of the atmosphere of a small French town with its daily market and numerous shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. There are frequent buses, and the small station serves the whole coast. To the west are numerous coastal villages and secluded beaches, whilst St. Tropez, Frejus and St. Raphael are all within easy reach. To the east lie Antibes, Nice, Monaco and Italy. Inland the hill villages of Auribeau, Mougins and the town of Grasse are served by regular buses. The nearby islands of Sainte Marguerite and Saint Honorat are worth exploring. Walking in the area, especially off-season, is excellent.

Beaches - The nearest beach is 2 minutes walk away. It is clean and sandy with a few rocks and provides excellent swimming, while the main popular beaches on the front at Cannes are 10 minutes away by bus. Attractive and secluded beaches can be found at Theoule, Le Trayas and Agay, all accessible by bus, car or train

Apartment sleeping 2 to 4 - Our second floor apartment faces south west, looks over the more secluded swimming pool, and has lovely views of the sea and the Esterel. The apartment is very well equipped and although compact, has plenty of storage, and its own private underground car park space. There is a small bedroom with a double bed which converts to a settee, a bathroom with bath and shower, and a living room with another similar settee which converts very easily to a double bed - there is also a robust inflatable mattress. The living room has a well equipped dining/kitchen area with table, chairs, small oven, hob, fridge and dishwasher, TV and music centre. The balcony is equipped with table and chairs, dryer etc. The apartment is situated in the Pierre et Vacances 'La Verrerie' complex, in private grounds with two swimming pools. The "Café Bleu" is by the pool.

For Walkers the Esterel National Park and the Provençal back country are close, and the Mercantour National Park can be visited in a day trip.

Rail - Eurostar and TGV via Paris or Lille.
Coach - Euroline service to Nice.
