This 160m² recently restored chalet, has a wooden interior, stylish furnishings and a fabulous sea view that makes you feel as though you are aboard a spacious luxury yacht. The large wooden-decked terrace has steps leading directly down to the broad sandy beach. The chalet is among a rather haphazard collection of beach houses, that were built in the 1950's and 60's before the major development of yacht marinas and holiday flats in Cap d'Agde itself, 2 km down the coast. You can not see Cap d'Agde from the chalet, as the resort is on the far side of a small headland. The stretch of beach by the property is relatively quiet, because the nearest access for the general public is 500m away. It is only a 300m walk to a restaurant right on the beach and Rochelongue is 500m walk along beach or 1km by road: baker, grocer, good fish-monger, bicycle hire, pedalo hire (June to Sept only).

The Accommodation: This exceptionally well-situated chalet dates from the 1960's but has recently been completely refurbished to a very high standard.

Downstairs: Entrance hall. 4 bedrooms with fitted wardrobes. Each is 16m² with good quality double bed. One of the bedrooms also has an additional single bed. 2 shower rooms. Separate WC.

Upstairs: 80m² large open-plan living and dining room with spacious well-equipped kitchen area. (Dishwasher, microwave, rotisserie, espresso machine). Attractive teak and wicker furniture. Satellite TV (CNN, BBC world), video machine. WC. Small utility room with washing machine and deep freeze.

Outside: Two large glass doors lead out onto the 110m² wooden decked terrace, with dining table and chairs, plenty of sun-loungers/ deck chairs and two large parasols. A dozen steps lead down from the terrace to a gate that opens directly onto the beach. There is an outdoor shower by the gate to wash off all the sand and salt before you come back up to the terrace. Shaded car parking in the 600m²  walled and gated garden. (The 'garden' is more sand than grass).

In the Area: Cap d'Agde, 4 km, (or 2km by foot). All services. 'Aqualand', (huge water-slides, etc.) 27-hole golf course (3km), tennis, (5km), Agde, 3km. Old historic town and fishing port, founded by the Ancient Greeks. Nice market, excellent seafood restaurants. Beziers, 20 km. Major market town, noted for its bull-fight 'Feria' in August.
Pezenas, 20 km. Attractive medieval town. Narbonne, 42 km. Famous cathedral. Montpellier, 55 km. Large university town. Carcassonne, 100 km. Largest fortified medieval town. Nimes, 105 km, Roman temple and arena. Perpignan, 110km, Palace of kings of Mallorca.

Travel:
International airports are at Carcassonne (Ryanair to Stansted - London, Brussels), Montpellier (international flights worldwide), Perpignan (Ryanair to Stansted - London), Nimes (Ryanair to Stansted - London). Toulouse and Barcelona (Spain) also have international & transatlantic flights)
Railway: Beziers and Agde have railway stations with nearby car rental. Paris to Agde (TGV as far as Montpellier 4,30hrs)
