Camping Les Araucarias, is a popular campsite which is open all the year. Situated near the forest and close to the village of Carlepont, but only 20 km from the town of Compiegne. The campsite covers 1.3 hectares (3¼ acres) of land with rare trees which are 20 meters high, like Sequoias, Araucarias, larches etc. It is very calm with a family atmosphere. You will be received by the owners who will help you set up if necessary, on your pitch. On site facilities are available including disabled friendly toilets/showers.

The village of Carlepont, only 1km away has the following facilities: baker, butcher, bar with coffee and tobacco, garage for fuel and 4 km away is a mini-market.

From the campsite it is only: 45 minutes drive to Parc Asterix (children's fun park, rides etc), and the same distance to the Sea of Sand (another children's fun park with live cowboy shows and others) in Ermenonville. It is only 85 kms to Disneyland Europe and 150 kms to the seaside.

The nautical base at Pimprez (open from April 29th to September 17th) is 7 kms and has 3 small lakes where you can hire a selection of boats, swim, fish, play mini golf, canoe or kayak down the old Oise river.

Other sport in the surrounding area: Walking/hiking, Cyclotourists at the exit of the Camp-site, Fishing (4 km.)
Horseriding, (2 km.) Swimming pool and tennis (10 km).
