Situated in the small riverside village of Taizon approximately 15 miles south west of Saumur in the heart of the Loire Valley region, this old exposed beam stone cottage is well positioned to explore the many attractions of the Loire Valley which include the famous Chateaux’s and picturesque market towns of this noted beauty spot area.

Life here is very much in the slow lane and one can enjoy the local Anjou wine and superb fresh food at very reasonable prices.

Roads in the area are generally straight, and by our standards traffic free, so visiting the attractions within in a 65 mile radius, including the seaside resorts, tends to be hassle free, or just relax in the cottage and enjoy the traditional good weather.

The cottage: sleeps up to 7 people and has very spacious rooms throughout having been recently fully restored and is well presented with higher quality furnishings than normally found in rented accommodation and has had the benefit of being designed by professional interior designers. To the front is a small garden and fully furnished patio area including, BBQ and sun loungers, table and chairs.

On the ground floor; large king size doubled bedded room, living room with feature fireplace and large attractive exposed low beam, spacious kitchen/diner with all modern appliances, and shower room with washbasin and toilet. The staircase leads to another 2 large bedrooms, one a with kingsize double bed, the other contains 3 single beds room and features exceptionally low beams most suitable for children.

Although there are no shops the next village (approx 1.5) miles has butcher, baker, bank, Tabac, two bars and a restaurant. Bakers van stops outside cottage daily except Mondays and holidays etc. The nearest town (approx 5 miles has all the normal shops plus a Hypermarket and large Friday market.
