Mayarol is a delightful villa nestling in the hills behind the historic village of Beynac and the Chateau de Beynac. The beautiful river Dordogne meanders through the village and is popular for canoeing and fishing. There are many beaches along the river banks which are ideal for children. The countryside is fairly hilly, quite heavily wooded and has miles of footpaths for walking and riding. There are riding stables close to the house.

The medieval town of Sarlat lies 10 km north east of Beynac and is famous for its pale limestone buildings and wonderful architecture. Market days are Wednesdays and Saturdays. Domme lies 6km to the south of Beynac and sits on a rocky promontory, poised on a cliff that offers sweeping views over the river Dordogne.

10km to the west of Beynac is St. Cyprien a charming market town with a lively Sunday morning market. The chateaus of Marquessac, Castlenaud and Les Milandes (the former home of Josephine Baker) are all close by. The area is famous for its picturesque villages and excellent restaurants. The Villa comprises of:

Ground Floor: Well equipped kitchen/breakfast room leading to a spacious sitting room with an open fire, beamed ceiling. A double bedroom and bathroom with shower fitment over bath and separate WC. Mayarol has an electric heating system, wood fire, gas cooking stove, fridge, freezer and washing machine. A travel cot is available.

First Floor: A very large airy family bedroom suitable for 2 adults and 2 children. Also a small twin bedroom and a bathroom with WC.
