Location: This fantastic old Mas sits in a large fruit farm just 5 minutes from Ille Sur Tet & all services. It is located down a farm track where it nestles amongst the olive and fruit trees in complete seclusion sitting above the banks of the river Tet.  There are stunning views of the surrounding protected countryside & Mount Canigou. It is an area which benefits from a magnificent year round microclimate making it amongst the sunniest locations in France.

Accommodation: The entrance area to the house is into a hallway which instantly gives you a feeling of the  charm & warmth of the property. Directly ahead lays the well equipped & charming kitchen, truly the centre of the house. From the kitchen there is a doorway to a large breakfast room, which although covered is just like eating outside. This then leads into the summer kitchen which is great for BBQ’s plus there is a shower and toilet located here, all wonderful for outdoor living.
Turning right from the hallway takes you into the main & charming living room with its' large woodburner (not often required) and look up to see the mezzanine gallery. This is a large and comfortably furnished room where you can truly unwind. The windows all open out onto the gardens & the sun filters in all day.
Left from the hallway takes you to the full bathroom where there is a large corner bath, shower and sinks, also there is a separate toilet plus a laundry room for guests to use.

Up the stairs from the living room takes you to the simple but comfortable bedrooms, 2 doubles and 1 room with 2 singles. There is also a sofa bed on the mezzanine which provides another sleep space, the sleeping accommodation can be fairly flexible.

Outside the gardens and grounds are extensive,  incredibly charming & peaceful, offering a real sanctuary to unwind and relax away from the rat race. There are some lovely seating areas, sunbeds of course and even a hammock to relax in.

The pool is self-contained  within a fenced space and although not large, it makes a great place to cool off and for children to swim.

Illes sur Tet is charming town as it name suggests sitting on the bank of the river Tet. All services can be found here and yet just a couple of minutes either side of the town, you are in magnificent countryside with stunning views to the not so distant Pyrennes, and easy access to the Mount Canigou and Andorra. From Ille sur Tet you can access the single track mountain train journey that offers an unforgettable journey.

With a great road link, Perpignan is just 20 mins away, the Mediterranean beaches of Canet Plage, St Cyprien & Argeles, are less than 40 minutes away. It is a great location for those that love outdoor pursuits such  as walking, climbing, horseriding, golf, sailing and much more which can all be found close by. The Salvador Dali museum in Figueras is truly worth a visit and the whole region offers a wealth of art and history with Barcelona being less than 2hours away.

Nearest international airport is Gerona, Ryanair flights are available from Perpignan & Carcassonne, Perpignan Airport  25 mins.
