Les Saules, is a spacious detached villa on the outskirts of a delightful, historic village, set in its own 1/3 of an acre garden with lawns, roses and willow trees. Within easy walking distance the village, which boasts its own bakery, butcher, small but well stocked shop, post office, bar (open local hours), two museums and a doctor's surgery.

"Les Saules" comprises of a large and spacious dining/living area with attractive open fireplace and comfortable seating. French doors open to both front and back patios with garden furniture and barbecue provided. Leading off the dining area is a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine, dishwasher, gas hob, electric oven, fridge freezer and microwave. There are three good size bedrooms, giving accommodation for 6, (two doubles and one twin). A cot is available upon request. Duvets are supplied, bed linen is not provided. Good size bathroom with shower, separate w.c. Electric storage heating through-out.

The nearest market town is Riberac, less than 10 minutes and the beautiful historic city of Perigueux is only 30 minutes away. A short drive will take you to Aubeterre which has the largest Monolithic church in Europe, St. Aulaye with river beach, water slides and restaurants, La Jemaye where there is supervised swimming in the beautiful lake, safe woods for walking, fenced wooden play area, café and restaurant or areas for barbecues. Horse riding, golf, fishing, canoeing and safe swimming, night clubs and discos can all be found locally. Les Saules is an excellent base to explore the vineyards of St. Emillion, Cognac and Bordeaux.

St. Privat des Pres is within a comfortable day's driving from the main French ferry ports e g. Caen 6 hrs., St. Malo 5hr 30 mins., Roscoff 7 hrs., Cherbourg 7hr 15 mins.
