Bosredon – Tremolat – Dordogne Set high on a hill above the medieval village of Tremolat, the properties are situated in perhaps the most beautiful area of the Dordogne near the thriving market town of Le Bugue; within easy reach of Sarlat, Domme, and fine wine growing chateaux of Bordeaux. The whole area is renowned for its prehistoric sites, beautiful fortified villages and medieval towns. Tremolat itself is home to a fine church, charming old houses and all the usual amenities of a French village, including a bar, bistro and a splendid hotel set in beautiful gardens. The nearest town with all of the usual amenities is Lalinde, only 14 kms away. Bosredon is a spacious, well restored farmhouse set in large tranquil gardens. Modern comforts and old world charms make this property perfect for a wonderful relaxing holiday. A separate enclosed garden is home to a large floodlit pool that is shared by the smaller converted barn next door. This additional property, which retains many original features, can be booked separately or together with the farmhouse for larger parties and family gatherings. The properties are fitted with Washing machines, Dishwashers, wood and electric heating.
In the spring the surrounding countryside is covered with wild flowers, the summer is hot and the autumn colours are magnificent with warm temperatures until the end of October. Outside of school holidays, changeover days are flexible. This allows holidaymakers to take advantage of cheap mid-week flights to Bergerac (40 minutes drive) and Bordeaux (90 minutes) and even consider long weekend breaks. |
