The house dates back to the 18th Century and is built in the old Languedoc style, and being built on several levels, allows for privacy. Situated just outside Beziers this superb property is set in approx. 5 acres with a lovely park in the front and a large garden at the back with a pool, and the garden is lit up in the evening. It is surrounded by vineyards, with a backdrop of the Cevennes Mountains. Enjoy the unspoilt countryside and great variety of the Languedoc; the headlands and creeks, old villages perched in the mountains, endless waves of vineyards on the lower slopes where the sun is soaked up by the Mediterranean and the lakes; or experience the mysticism of the old roman and Cathar sites.

The property is very quiet and all one can hear are the birds yet Beziers, with a population of 85,000, is 5 minutes away. Beziers is an old town, which is not overrun by tourists in the summertime and mainly inhabited by the French, and the area as a whole is rich in history. The Mediterranean is 10 minutes away and the Black Mountains 25 minutes. Montpellier can be reached in 40 minutes and the Carmargue and the Provence are close by, and golf, sailing, climbing, windsurfing, canoeing, cycling, tennis, walking, horse riding and watersports are also available.

The House: has five bedrooms, 2 doubles and 2 twins on two separate floors with shower, basin and WC on each floor, and one separate double bedroom with 6ft bed, straight off the living room with a separate corridor, bathroom with a bath, shower and separate WC. There is also a shower in the pool house.
The living room and dining area is large (85sqm) and has video, satellite TV, radio, stereo system, CD player, and books. There is also central heating, open fire, fax machine & telephone for incoming calls. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, two ovens, two fridges, four gas hobs and two electric hobs, and there is also a washing machine, tumble dryer.

Outside: There is a balcony, two terraces, one with a BBQ, with one in the sun and one in the shade. There is patio/garden furniture, and a pool house with shower, with the garden lit in evenings. Ample parking is available.

The property will be cleaned once a week and the beds are made on arrival.
Fresh sheets will be supplied after two weeks for those who stay three weeks or more and sheets can be hired at £8.00 per pair. You need to bring towels and particularly large ones to put on the pool mattresses and deckchairs.
