The Creuse, steeped in history is set in the heart of France. A rambler’s and fisherman’s paradise. A popular destination for artists past and present. The area boasts Lake Chambon within 4 km offering beaches, water sports, cafes and restaurants with local village 2km and market towns 7km. Villeneuve is ideally situated for visiting other regions, being about 20 mins from the A20, 50 mins from Limoges, 1.5 hrs from Futoroscope and 2.5 hrs from the nearest ski slopes.

Whether enjoying the long summer days and balmy evenings or winter walks and cosy log burners, the Limousin has something to offer all year round. It is the ideal place to come to completely relax and unwind in beautiful, unspoilt French countryside.

The Gites: Sympathetically renovated from an ancient farmhouse to a very high standard. Combining character with home comforts retaining many original features including oak floors and open beams. Each gite has one double and one twin bedroom (with two further beds in gite 1 and a large, new, comfortable double sofa bed in the second). There is a bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet. The lounge and dining area is open, each with log burner for extra warmth in the cooler months. The kitchen is well equipped with a new cooker and fridge and all utensils. Both gites are equipped for winter and summer stays.

There are French windows leading to the garden with panoramic views. Outdoor furniture and use of BBQ and washing machine are available.
