Teal: sleeps up to 5 in 2 bedrooms Mallard: sleeps up to 7 in 3 bedrooms Wigeon: sleeps up to 9 in 4 bedrooms The property stands tranquilly, one mile from the Fougeres exit of the A84 route from the port of Caen. Less than a mile from St Germain en Cogles, five miles from Fougeres, some forty miles from St Malo and twenty-five from Mont-St-Michel, in a small quiet hamlet cul-de-sac with five properties in occupation only. It’s an ideal location for a restful break and less than half an hour from the Normandy beaches Each property has it's own private garden, overlooking the surrounding countryside, mainly laid to grass with some fruit trees, equipped with garden furniture and a barbecue. with access to the main garden and communal area that provides children’s swings, slides, climbing frame and netball basket, table tennis table, an oval 7.5 metre swimming pool and a large paddock which terminates at the garden bottom in a trout stream. In total, the land area spans around three-quarters of an acre. Nestling in a tiny hamlet cul-de-sac one-third of a mile from the Fougeres exit from the A84 trunk road from Caen, the property is ideally located with numerous attractions in this beautiful area, one of them being the nearby town of St Germain en Cogles - an attractive small town less than one mile from La Heyais, with most facilities that you will need on hand. These are supplemented by a sporting complex that includes two outside hard courts that are free of charge and can, with discretion, be used by visitors. Mont-St-Michel - 25 miles - the key tourist attraction in France. This awe-inspiring monument with the dramatic silhouette of the abbey will leave you with a lasting image of Normandy. Fougeres - 4 miles - a traditional cobbling and cider-making centre with an attractive ruined castle- the oldest in France. It, and the surrounding older parts of the town make an interesting visit; especially as it is now largely pedestrianised. Saturday market in town centre. Benefiting from the effects of the Gulf stream, Brittany's climate is surprisingly mild for its northern position and is, on average, a few degrees warmer than southern England. Walking & Cycling: Exceptional rural environment ideally suited to both. Golf: Numerous courses - including Rennes, St Malo and Dol de Bretagne -within less than an hours drive. Fishing: Small trout stream at paddock bottom. Carp and salmon fishing nearby, though a permit is needed. For ornithologists, there is the Baie du Mont-St-Michel, and the valley leading from the Baytoward Fougeres is the Couesnon valley and is rich in bird life. |
