Chamonix is just 10 minutes drive away from this fully renovated apartment in a traditional Savoyard chalet, and the Swiss border and the Italian border are 10 minutes and 15 minutes respectively by car. The area offers so much of interest in summer and winter alike; for children there is the Paradis des Praz adventure play area, the Parc de Merlet nature reserve, the newly opened Forest Adventure Park, and the little tourist train which goes around the town; they are all within a close area of the chalet. Chamonix itself has a weekly Saturday market,  the Mont Blanc observatory and a casino which is open in the afternoons and evenings. Lac Passy is a glorious swimming lake with stunning views of the Mont Blanc Massif, and is just a 25 minute drive away, and offers a restaurant, shallow sloping sandy beach, BBQs, picnic areas, miniature electric boats, windsurfing, and acres of grass and open space for ball games. For the more active, there are so many things to enjoy within easy reach; mountain climbing, mountain biking, ice climbing, swimming, canyoning, parapenting, canoeing, rafting, horse riding, golf and fishing to name just a few. Sailing, windsurfing, waterskiing, summer sledging, boat trips................just about everything imaginable.

The Apartment: is centrally heated and on the top (second) floor with uninterrupted, 360 degree views of the Mont Blanc Massif and glaciers. It is very well situated, approximately 1 hour from Geneva and Samoens, and very close to the many amenities in the area. It has been carefully childproofed throughout, to enable you to have a hassle free holiday.

The large, sunny lounge is comfortably furnished with double doors giving on to the balcony, and has a CD / stereo system, multi standard TV and VCR, more than 200 videos to suit all age groups, a selection of books, toys and games. There is also a telephone for your use, with free local calls and internet access. The large kitchen is fully fitted with a dishwasher, fridge / freezer, microwave, full oven and hob, and although there is no washing machine there is a launderette just 5 minutes away. There are three bedrooms, a double and two family rooms. One of the family rooms has a double bed and screened off bunk beds and also space for a cot, it also benefits from doors leading to the full length south facing balcony. The second family room sleeps up to four people, with a selection of beds which can be laid out according to your requirements, doubles, twins or bunks. There is a bathroom, a shower room and a separate wc.
