This roomy, 100 year old house is located in the peaceful  hamlet of Mouches, one of about a dozen houses and a farm, surrounded by woodland and farmland. A winding country road passes through Mouches, with occasional local traffic and the odd tractor. The gently rolling countryside is perfect for walking and cycling, and the nearby lakes of Baye and Vaux, just 5kms away, give you a perfect opportunity to bathe, fish, canoe, windsurf and sail. Mouches is on the edge of the Morvan National Park, with the nearest town being Corbigny, 9 kms away, offering banks, post office, supermarket, assorted small shops, restaurants and a weekly market. The historic town of Vezelay is about 32 kms. away, with Nevers, Auxerre, Clamency, Autun, Avallon and Semur-en-Auxois, well known for their cathedrals, ancient buildings and shops, all being worth a visit. For wine lovers, visit the Chablis and Beaune growing regions, both close by, or explore the assortment of mediaeval villages with their Romanesque churches. Bazoches, with it's impressive chateau, is just 25minutes away, and for a slightly longer trip visit Paris, either by rail or road. Magny Cours is just 45 minutes by car.

The House: is comfortably furnished, with an attractive sitting room which has a wood burning stove, TV, radio and tape/CD player. Also on the ground floor you will find a family room housing a selection of board games, table tennis, jig saw puzzles and playing cards, ideal for passing the evenings in early or late season. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor, and a WC with wash basin on the half landing of the stairs. The fully equipped kitchen has a dining area, fridge/freezer, and cooker, with a back kitchen housing a microwave and washing machine.
On the first floor, there are two bedrooms, one twin and a double, the latter having a pleasant balcony. The main bathroom, also on this floor, has a bath, shower, bidet, basin and W.C.

The large, secluded garden is well maintained with lawn, shrubbery, and various fruit trees offering shade during the hot summer months. The patio area with BBQ and furniture offers a perfect place for outside dining, and there are 2 bicycles for the more active guests. Ample parking at the front of the house.
