La Vieille Ferme’s cottages are part of a traditional Breton longere dating back to 1580, with its original bread oven, still in use. The farm is set in 30 acres of land where we keep horses, donkeys, goats, chickens and more, and is in an area of designated natural beauty. Each cottage has a private garden, with Breton BBQ, leading on to a heated outdoor swimming pool (10metres x 5.5metres).

Situated in a small hamlet you are in a perfect location for exploring Brittany. Just two minutes away is L’ile aux Pies (little islands in the combined waterways of the river Oust and the Nantes-Brest canal). Here you can walk, climb, horse-ride, fish or cruise along the waterways, or enjoy a meal and drink in the restaurant/bar.

The local village is three minutes drive away and contains a mini market/butchers, a traditional Boulangerie and a restaurant/Creperie. Redon, our nearest town, is just 10 minutes away. It is a town of waterways , with the Nantes-Brest canal crossing the river there. Besides its busy shopping centre, Redon has many supermarkets and a traditional open-air market every Monday morning.

The southern coast of Brittany is 45 minutes away and here you will find St. Nazaire, and La Baule which boasts extensive beaches and a very chic and inviting shopping area.

Megalithic stones are a feature of Brittany and we are central for many sites (at Vannes, Carnac and locally at St. Just). Only 15 minutes in the car will find you in some beautiful villages, some of which have lakes suitable for swimming and windsurfing. A 9-hole golf course is twelve miles away and an international 18-hole golf course is a 30 minute drive.

La Laiterie has wheelchair friendly accommodation with wood burner and full electric central heating, for up to 6 people, plus cot. The ground floor has a fully fitted kitchen (with washing machine, microwave, iron/ironing board, and cooking knives) and lounge/diner with wood burning stove and exposed beams. There is also a downstairs bedroom for one  (although we can put bunk beds in it), with large walk-in wc/shower room (with wide sliding doors enabling wheelchair access). The first floor has a bath/shower and WC, plus 2 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and 1 with twin beds plus room for a cot.
Patio doors lead to a terrace with enclosed garden with washing line and pegs, Breton BBQ and garden furniture, and through the garden gate to the outdoor swimming pool.

La Ferme has full gas central heating and accommodation for up to 10 people, plus cot, plus sofa bed to accommodate a further 2. The ground floor has a fitted kitchen (with 2.5 ovens, dishwasher, microwave, iron/ironing board, and cooking knives) and the lounge/diner has a wood burning stove and exposed beams. There is also a downstairs WC and separate laundry room with washing machine. The first floor has a shower and WC, plus 3 bedrooms, 1 with a double bed and bunk beds, 1 with three single beds and 1 with one single bed and bunk beds.
