Mas Sivelou, is located in the Gard, which although being in the Languedoc/Roussillon  region, is traditionally considered to be part of Provence. The property is located on the edge of the Cevennes at an altitude of 260 metres, in a quiet valley. The elevated position provides impressive views across the surrounding countryside and mountains and the climate is typical of the region, with hot summers and gentle winters. The nearest bakers is in the medieval town of Durford, which is just 3 kms away, and further afield there are the larger towns of Anduze, Sauve and Hippolyte du Ford, all of which are a 15 minute drive. Slightly further afield are Montpelier (1¼ hours), Nimes (1 hour), Avignon (1½ hours) and Arlès (½ hour). The sea and beaches are approximately 1 hour.

Occupying 10 hectares, mostly wooded, these charming holiday homes are located in 2 buildings dating originally from the 13©. Restored and furnished to a high standard, whilst retaining much of their original character. The property has a large swimming pool for your enjoyment.

All of the gites are equipped with washing machine and dishwasher, with a dryer for common use in an outbuilding. They all have heating and their own parking.

Gite 1: Sleeps 4 + 1; Occupying 2 floors, with a downstairs living room, kitchen/diner and a toilet which is built from the old wine cave. The first floor has 2 twin bedrooms and a shower/toilet. The lounge has large doors leading on to the terrace, where there is comfortable furniture for outside dining, and mature trees providing shade.

Gite 2: Sleeps 4 + 1; Access is via the ground floor terrace, which has loungers, leading to a corridor off which are the 2 bedrooms, each with shower/toilet and there is a separate toilet. A staircase leads to the living room with kitchen/diner, with a large door which opens on to the higher level terrace which has furniture for outside dining, and magnificent views over the surrounding hills.

Gite 3: Sleeps 4; The entrance is on the first floor, with a living room and kitchen/diner. There is a terrace to the front with a dining table and chairs. Stairs lead to the ground floor which has 2 bedrooms and a shower/toilet, both bedrooms have doors opening directly on to the charming inner courtyard which can be used for outside dining. External stairs connect the courtyard with the upper terrace, allowing access without passing through the bedrooms.

Gite 4: Sleeps 2 / 4; From the large terrace a door leads to the living/dining room with kitchen. There is a mezzanine with 2 beds, a bathroom with shower/toilet and a separate toilet downstairs. There is furniture on the terrace for dining and the views are wonderful.

Gite 5: Sleeps 8+1; Forming part of the main building, and being very spacious, the terrace with dining furniture gives access to the large kitchen. From here you can enter the secondary living room or go upstairs to the spacious lounge. There is a large toilet on the ground floor which also houses the washing machine. On the first floor next to the living room, the master bedroom has its own shower and toilet and on the second floor there are 3 further bedrooms each having a shower and toilet. 

Gite 6: Magnanerie, sleeps 2; is located at the back of the main house, with a terrace affording plenty of privacy. There are lovely views and furniture for outside dining. The lounge is spacious with a fully equipped kitchen, and stairs lead to the mezzanine with a double bed and toilet. There is a further bathroom and toilet downstairs.
