This attractive, 100 year old stone house overlooks the village green in Nalliers, between Luçon & Fontenay Le Comte. There is a local supermarket, bank with cash machine, pharmacie, boulangerie, tabac, bar/restaurant and post office. The nearby towns of Luçon and Fontenay le Comte provide a larger range of supermarkets, shops and restaurants; seafood is the local speciality. There are many places of interest to visit in the region with an abundance of markets. The property is equidistant from lovely sandy beaches on the Atlantic coast or the lakes and forests of the region, both being approx 25 minutes drive. You can enjoy walking, cycling, fishing and/or boating in the nearby well-known Marais Poitevin or Venise Verte area.

The Vendee region has it’s own microclimate similar to the French Riviera. The weather is usually hot and sunny between early May and late September then mild for the rest of the year.

The house is spacious with large, light airy rooms and is furnished to a good standard. Large dining room with beamed ceiling, old fireplace and range, hi-fi, beautiful table, which seats 10/12 and French windows opening on to patio area. The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher. The lounge is comfortably furnished and includes Hi-fi, TV & video. Upstairs there is a family bathroom, 4 bedrooms - 1 extra large family room with a double and single bed, 1 double + en-suite, 1 twin bedded room, 1 single bedroom. Downstairs there is an additional toilet and shower room. Linen and towels provided (except beach towels), no extra charge for electricity.

Self-contained annexe - double bed/sitting room, bathroom, kitchen.

The size of accommodation may be up-graded to include the annexe, which can be used as part of the main house, with access gained internally or separately accessed via it’s own external door. The annexe includes kitchen, bathroom, and double bed room/lounge area.

Garden, barn, BBQ and pool. The garden is divided in two by a high laurel hedge. There are seating areas under the trees, which are just right for lunch, a relaxing early evening drink or barbecuing. Stroll through the garden into the secluded pool area, the perfect place for a lazy swim in the 9m x 4.5m pool or relax with a good book and cool drink in the dappled shade of the walnut tree. Adjacent to the house is a double barn with table tennis table, BBQ, patio and garden furniture. Climbing frame with swing plus 4 adult bikes and 1 child’s bike (10 – 12yrs), dartboard and basketball net plus ball are also available.
