This recently refurbished quaint cottage nestles in a tiny hamlet, about 5 miles from the ancient town of Riberac, with its range of shops and famous weekly market. Enjoying delightful views over the peaceful, undulating countryside of the Dordogne, and surrounded by farms, vineyards and woodlands, this makes a perfect location for a truly relaxing holiday. For the more active the river Dronne, just 2.5 miles away, offers swimming and a range of water sports, including canoeing, fishing and windsurfing, and for children there is a holiday village with a lake, beach, swings and cycle hire. The same distance in the other direction you will find a large lake resort which offers similar facilities.  Bourdeilles, with its famous castle, is just 12 miles away, and the beautiful abbey town of Brantome, with it's variety of shops and restaurants, is just 16 miles. The abbey and the prehistoric caves are well worth a visit, and the capital of the region, Perigeux, is also a  must with it's many shops and attractions.

The Accommodation: All that remains of a very old house, it has recently been refurbished throughout and offers a comfortable, charming place to stay with original oak beams throughout.  The cottage has one double bedroom, a further twin room with a cot and a bathroom with shower, bidet, washbasin and w.c. The well-equipped kitchen area includes a cooker/oven, microwave, mini-oven and a fridge-freezer, and doors lead from the comfortably furnished lounge / dining area  onto the terrace and garden, which is perfect for outside dining. The terrace garden itself is adjacent to the cottage, and has its own garden furniture and BBQ,  as well as its own "petite chalet".

                

There are 4 bicycles available for guests use at the property and there is ample parking.
