The farmhouse at Chateau Valette is set
in its own gardens which are within the grounds of Chateau Valette, a 16th
century hunting lodge. Valette is on the border of southern Dordogne and Lot et Garonne which is an area of
outstanding natural beauty consisting of farmland . Chateaux, medieval
bastide towns of honey coloured stone, and lazy rivers. This is also one
of the gastronomic regions of France, truffles, ceps and foie gras are
specialities of the region, this is also wine country with many of the
wine producing chateaux more than happy to let you taste their wine before
buying. Lougratte at 4kms has a boulangerie and a general shop and a small bar Castillonnes and Villereal which are both about 7kms have supermarkets, banks and restaurants and colourful weekly markets, There are also many sporting activities to enjoy nearby including golf, tennis. canoeing and horse riding to name a few. Places to visit nearby include Chateau Biron, The Caves de Lascaux and Walibi water park.
The Farmhouse has its own private swimming pool, covered terrace and barbeque. Inside - the house is colourfully decorated in a Mediterranean style and has two bathrooms, a large living room with a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen, including microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. There
are five bedrooms - Two with double beds, two with twin beds and one
