Concarneau is an ideal location from which to enjoy the numerous places of interest including the Foret de Fousenant with it's golf course, Pont Aven (where Gaugin spent part of his life-visit the Gauguin Musee) Quimper, (centre of the ancient Bretagne pottery industry) located on the River Odet (by taking the D34 route this will enable you to follow the river to Benodet on the coast). Excellent for those enjoying walking or cycling and for those who enjoy eating, particularly seafood and other French culinary delights.
