Camping
la Pinede,
(3* family site)
Gulf of St. Tropez Camping La Pinede is a small 3 star family site, very quietly situated amongst the vineyards just a stones throw from the Maures Mountains. We have a children's play area and 2 swimming pools one for adults and one for toddlers both of them can be covered for early season and rainy days, and also a very good restaurant which is open every evening in July and August with the occasional evenings entertainment and BBQ. There is a connection for the internet and a Launderette with dryer. It is very quiet and secluded from the hustle and bustle of the local traffic and market villages thus giving you the choice of a very restful holiday or joining the maddening crowds.
The mobile homes vary in size and layout with 2 and 3 bedrooms. Most have air conditioning All are supplied with duvets and pillows for 6/8 persons and bed linen can be hired on request. There is a fully equipped kitchen with oven, fridge/freezer, micro-wave, and all cooking equipment including crockery glasses and cutlery. All mobiles have a TV with DVD Player (Bring your own DVD’s) The bathroom has a shower, flush toilet and wash basin. Outside you have a wooden terrace with a table, 6 chairs 2 sun beds with cushions.
To the beach it is a mile and a half's walk on level ground or an easy bike ride which you hire locally or by car a 10 minute drive to the nearest parking with access to the beach. Swimming is very safe with sandy beaches stretching for miles along the coast in both directions. For places to explore why not try St Maxime a very lively place to go with many cobbled streets and quaint restaurants which comes to life in the evenings with live music in most bars also here most night in July and August they have an open air theatre or from here you can take the boat across the bay to St Tropez well known for the rich and famous stars with their big yachts but has still managed to keep its original identity and Provencal traditions, as the local markets and festivals also see the local artists at work on the quay side. The nearest attraction is the Little Venice of Port Grimaud where you can take a leisurely walk around its canals and waterways offering an assortment of restaurants and even a market on a Sunday morning. Just 5 minutes walk from the village of Port Grimaud you will find the lively Irish bar Munroe's where at a week-end they have a live music the food is excellent and good value for money and the best offer of the day is between 7.30 and 8.30 every evening it is happy hour and providing that you go to the bar and collect your own drinks they are half price you can get a good local red wine for 5€ a bottle, they also sell lager and Guinness by the litre. The immediate local areas have much to offer, the old village of Grimaud is packed with history Also a typical village square where you can laze and have a morning coffee. |
