Large comfortable stone-built family house with swimming pool.
Sleeps 10. Countryside location just outside Narbonne,
Languedoc Roussillon.


Situated in a rural location on a small domaine nestled amongst vineyards, a few minutes from the centre of Narbonne and only 15 minutes from miles of golden beaches. There is a large courtyard/garden for use by the occupants of the house (and shared with the owners when in residence) with a fountain, large barbecue, tables and chairs and a large tree that provides good shade.  There is also private parking.

Lounge/Dining:

and airy. Colour TV, DVD, radio/CD. Games/toys/books, local information. Wood burning fire.
Well equipped kitchen: Fridge/freezer, gas cooker, dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle.
Five bedrooms: Two doubles, two twins, one triple (single bed added to allow flexibility).
Shower room: Shower cubicle, washbasin, toilet.
Bathroom: Bath/shower over, washbasin, separate toilet.
Utility room: Double sink, washing machine, iron/ironing board.
Enclosed courtyard/garden: BBQ, tables/chairs/parasols, parking.
Floodlit swimming pool: Regulation fencing, security gate, sun beds.
 

Local & Regional information: Narbonne has many restaurants and cafes (some alongside the Canal de la Robine),  interesting museums,  Bishop’s Palace and  Via Domitia.  Daily  indoor and twice-weekly outdoor markets.  Excellent leisure centre (outdoor and indoor pools, water slides, ice rink, skate park and bowling alley).  Three main seaside resorts in close proximity, with beautiful golden beaches, harbours, etangs, small water park and amusement park.  There are the Minervois and Corbieres (with both mineral and thermal pools), canoeing, kayaking, white water rafting and horse-riding.  The Canal du Midi is also nearby.

Narbonne was a Roman capital, offers a variety of natural and cultural sites and is a city deeply engraved in Mediterranean culture. There are many places to explore such as the Cathar Castles (and Carcassonne.  Alternatively, marvel at the pink flamingos populating the coastal lagoons, follow one of the numerous walks, visit some of the 100 local wine caves or spend your days topping up your suntan.

Slightly further afield are the Pyrenees; Montpellier; Nimes (with Roman amphitheatre); Pont de Gard (Roman aqueduct 20BC); Spain and Andorra.

Lets start Saturday (between 5 p.m. & 7 p.m.). Water, electricity, gas, bed linen and house towels  are included.  Two wood burning fires in house during winter lets - wood at cost.
