Situated in a peaceful hamlet, and enjoying its own 1acre garden of meadow and orchard, the property is a haven for butterflies, birds and wildlife. Occupying an elevated position, there are commanding views across the countryside. The Perigord region is famous for its wonderful food and wine, and Brouillaud is 56 miles from St. Emilion and within an easy days drive of Bordeaux. The unspoilt town of St. Astier is just 3½kms away, and although devoid of tourist shops, it offers supermarkets, bakers etc. with a Thursday market. There is also bicycle hire, river canoeing and bathing and a very good open air swimming pool. Rouffignac, Lascaux and Cro Magnon are all within an hour or so driving, for the pre-historians.
