Enjoy the peace and tranquility of this charming cottage adjoining owners property. Chaban is a hamlet on the edge of the Venice Verte, with it's many waterways and boat hire, and the market town of Mauze-sur-la-Mignon is only 4kms away, which has a weekly market, supermarket, swimming pool and tennis courts. Golf is available at Niort and La Rochelle. Within easy reach are Cognac Saintes Bordeaux and Poitiers. Within a 5 minute drive  there are tennis courts at Mauze, horse riding and cinema at St. Hilaire du Palud, swimming pools at Mauze and Courcun, and the river at Mignon is nearby for fishing. Cycle hire and boat hire are available at Arcais which is a 10 min drive, and there are a few cycle circuits in the area. The charming fortified port of La Rochelle is just 30 kms. away, where you can enjoy the winding streets and numerous shops, bars and restaurants. The wide, sandy beaches of Chataillon Plage and Fouras are easily accessible, and slightly further afield is Futuroscope at Poitiers, which makes a wonderful day out.

The Cottage: Open plan in design, the ground floor has a beamed ceiling, and a lounge/dining area and kitchen with cooker, microwave, washing machine and fridge. 

On the upper floor, there is a double bedroom with French window, a twin bedroom and modern shower room with w.c.  There is a lawned garden at the front of the house complete with garden furniture, BBQ and car parking.
