Built
around 1840 the Chateau Du Puits Es Pratx was once the largest wine
domaine in the village of Ginestas. The owners have preserved it’s
unique character and offer both self-catering accommodation and Chambres
D’Hôtes du Charme, within 6 acres of gardens and vineyards.
Chateau Du Puits Es Pratx has a relaxed 'home from home' environment
that is warm, friendly, and informal. It has a large heated swimming
pool (12 x 6 metres) and the original wine ‘Cave’ has been restored as a
superb restaurant called ‘L’Es Pratx’. This serves delectable French
Fusion Cuisine, is open to guests most days and offers a wide range of
superb regional wines all within beautiful surroundings. Wine tasting
tuition, creative courses and musical soirées and concerts are also held
here.
The Domaine offers the perfect ambience for those who enjoy comfort,
food and wine and provides the ideal environment for either relaxation
or for those seeking a more active holiday, with the added benefit of
optional Creative Courses, sporting activities and Tours (see
www.goholidayfrance.com).
Even when full it is never apparent and there is plenty of room for all
individuals or families to enjoy their own privacy, peace and space. It
is also perfect for larger groups who book exclusively the entire
Domaine where there is both the room to enjoy a communal atmosphere or
be on one’s own.
