Les Crouquets is perfectly situated, tucked away in a secluded valley in the Perigod Noir, in the heart of the Dordogne countryside, surrounded by walnut groves and golden cornfields in a wonderfully tranquil setting.

Everything you need is just a 10-minute drive away in Salignac. Sarlat and Lascaux are both within a 30-minute drive; in fact most of the major attractions, including Rocamadour, are less than an hour away. Plan your day over a leisurely breakfast on your terrace - we can offer suggestions or even help out if your French is a bit rusty! Pony riding, karting, helicopter rides, hot air balloon rides, canoeing, golf……….there is a multitude of  things to occupy you within a short drive.

On those lazy, hot summer days when you'd rather not be travelling around, there is plenty to do at Les Crouquets. Soak up the sun by the sparkling pool or relax with a good book from our library. With acres of space to run around, an animal corner and a huge games barn too, the children will never be bored!

The Cottages: Each of the properties has its own distinct character and they are grouped together in a delightful hamlet with their own private terrace and most having views over the green oak covered hills. With over 5 hectares of farmland and woodland Les Crouquets has many secluded places ready to lend themselves to a moment or two of peaceful contemplation. A working farm, which can be seen from the grounds, is our only neighbour and the nearest village of Jayac is 1 km away

All of our cottages have individual terraces, tables, benches & barbecues and are fully equipped, including:

Ample crockery, pots etc for number of occupants; Cafetiere or filter coffee machine, toaster & electric kettle; Full size cooker and microwave oven; Fridge with freezer compartment; Dishwasher; TV with UK & French channels; DVD player; Cleaning products, dishwasher tablets & toilet tissue.

Le Logis was an extension of the old piggery and has now been transformed into a light and airy 2 bedroomed lodge which is all on ground level.

La Grange used to be the original pig stalls. It is now a cosy 2 bedroomed cottage which has retained many of the stone features. Wood burning stove.

L'Atelier was the stable for Les Croquets' horses and is now an extremely spacious one bedroomed cottage with a double sofa bed in the living room. Wood burning stove.

Le Pecher shares half of the large barn with Le Cerisier and this used to be home to Les Crouquets' cows. With its impressive double height ceiling and stone kitchen divider, this cottage has lots of character. Two twin rooms and a shower room downstairs and an extremely spacious double room upstairs

Le Fournil is a 3 bedroomed cottage reminiscent of old rural France with rugged beams and exposed stonework creating a wonderful homely atmosphere. There is one double bedroom with an ensuite shower room on the ground floor. Upstairs are two further bedrooms and a spacious bathroom.

Le Cerisier is the second half of the cow barn and is almost the mirror image of Le Pecher with the addition of a mezzanine living area above the kitchen. There is a large double room with ensuite shower room upstairs plus two twin bedrooms and a shower room on the ground floor. A double sofa bed on the mezzanine floor can accommodate two children.

Large 16m x 6m pool with toddler’s splash pool alongside.  The pool is fenced according to legal requirements and can be lit at night. There is a spacious sunbathing terrace and plenty of loungers & parasols to go round.

Games Room: A huge stone barn offers the following: A children's library and reading corner; Lots of board games, jigsaws, chunky Lego etc; A blackboard wall with chalks; Mini football; Dartboard & billiard table; Table tennis; Badminton, boules and gym equipment are also available on site, as are Internet facilities.
