La Mouliere is a charming converted stone farmhouse located approximately 2 km north of Duras, South West France.

Owned by an English family, La Mouliere has been the setting for many happy holidays for over 30 years. Fully renovated and modernised in the 1990s, it offers accommodation for 8-10 people. The house faces south west, with unspoilt views. The Chateau de Duras is visible on the horizon. It has about 1.5 acres of land, including several mature trees and is surrounded by vineyards and orchards. There is a covered terrace by the pool which is ideal for al fresco meals, BBQ's or just escaping the sun.

Accommodation (for 8-10 people)

Ground floor
Kitchen-diner - Large traditional stone flagged room with open fireplace. Looks onto the garden. Equipment includes gas cooker, dishwasher and two fridges.
Sitting room - very large room, with glazed double doors leading onto the garden. This room was originally a barn and extends from the front to the back of the house and up to the roof. A table tennis table is set up at the back of the room.
Bedroom 1 - spacious double room with windows to the front and to the side.
Bedroom 2 - twin bedroom, with window to the side
Bedroom 3 - twin room, French windows to the front
Bathroom/WC - large room at the back of the house. Contains washing machine and tumble drier.

La Mouliere's position makes its the perfect starting point for touring the chateaux, vineyards and charming countryside of the region. Lot et Garonne and the neighbouring Dordogne are justly famous for their cuisine so gastronomes will be happy. The championship golf at Chateau Vigiers is close by. The nearby towns of Duras (2km) and Ste Foy la Grande (15km) are perfectly placed for everyday shopping as well as just browsing and soaking up the local atmosphere.
Swimming Pool

The swimming pool is contained in an enclosed area to the front and right of the house. It is 10m by 5m, with circular steps at the shallow end. It is kept at a comfortable temperature by means of a thermal cover which is left on at night. There is a covered terrace beside the pool for shade and a special children's area sits adjacent to this, perfect for parking the toddlers safely! The pool has an alarm and complies with French safety laws.

By Car: Driving time from Le Havre is around 8/9 hours

By Air: Numerous flights from Bordeaux (1 hour) and Bergerac (3/4 hour)

By Train: Eurostar and TGV to Ste Foy via Bordeaux (10hrs from Waterloo)
