It is ideally situated to explore three different landscapes --- the forested hills of the Malapere, the vineyards and wine-villages of the plain of Carcassonne and the meadows and lakes of the Montagne Noire. Carcassonne and Castelnaudary are 15 mins drive, Toulouse 45 mins and the Mediterranean coast 1 hour. The village of Alzonne, with shops/café, and the beautiful Canal du Midi, are just minutes away.

Step inside this outwardly modest French farmhouse and you find it has the interior proportions and elegant style of a manor -house. It is beautifully furnished -- very French -- and very well modernised and equipped.
