The property is situated on the border of the Perigord Noir between Bergerac and Sarlat. It is sited alone on a hill with a wonderful view of the river Dordogne, offering valley views, it is very peaceful and calm. It is only 5 minutes walk to the river and the pretty village of Mauzac. There is a large salt water swimming pool (12m x 6m) and at the back of the house is a golf driving range with bunker and putting green.
In the nearby villages there are many restaurants, but on request we serve meals in a family atmosphere outside on the terrace or inside beside the fireplace. Your host has a passion for wines which he would like to share with you. Along the boundary of the estate you will find the walking route G.R. 6.

From Les Blanquies you will be able to visit exciting places in the Perigord like Trémolat and Limieul (where the Dordogne and Vezere meet), Le Bugue and the caves of Les Eyzies . Less than one hour away you will find the area of Sarlat with the villages of Domme, Castelnaud and Gageac. Half an hour away is Bergerac and its vineyards with all their wine-chateaux like Chateau Monbazillac. The property is very well located in the hart of the Dordogne area.
Canoes and Kayaks, as well as sailing boats are available in the area. In Mauzac you will find a sailing school and at Trémolat you can try water-skiing. There are also many beautiful fishing spots in the area. Horse riding, climbing and abseiling are all available, and at Beaumont and Domme you can even take lessons. Mauzac and Lalinde both have hard tennis courts.

The House (B&B): The top floor offers 2 large bedrooms; one is a spacious room with 2 separate beds, bathroom, and it is possible to add a child's bed and a cot is available. The second is in the pigeonier and has a large double bed also with own bathroom, Both rooms have an excellent view of the valley and river. On the mezzanine there is a TV and pool table. Our guests can use the stone barbecue on the terrace. Meals on request for around 20 euros incl. wine.

The Gite: The separate building beside the swimming pool has 3 twin bedrooms and sleeps up to 6 people. There is a shared bathroom for 2 of the bedrooms, and a shower room for the third. There is a separate dining room with fully equipped kitchen. Outside, there is a covered terrace where you can enjoy your meals.

Luxury Mobile Home/Chalet: on the most beautiful spot of Les Blanquies with a stunning view. It is fully equipped with a kitchen, 2 bedrooms and bathroom. Suitable for 2 adults (and 2 children) Large terrace and beside the chalet there is a stone barbecue.

Les Blanquies can be rented also a whole for groups upon 14 sleeps, without B&B.

Painting Lessons:( mid-season)
The area with its superb views and its villages of the Middle Ages encourages you to paint (water-colour). The Dutch teachers guide you in a professional way and make it possible for everyone to work on their own level. You can work on the composition, the subjects and naturally the colours.
Some weeks in the year are reserved for groups from max. 8 to 10 people.
Monday to Friday the lessons are given in the morning, the afternoon remaining free to organize your own time.

Golfing Lessons:(mid-season)
We organise golf lessons with Dutch Golfpros (they speak English), in groups from max. 8 people to give full attention to all. The Golf professional remains at your disposal during the week.
