Domaine de Palatz is an U-shaped property built around a centre courtyard, consisting of three, separate,   spacious  newly refurbished cottages,  all  are individually designed with modern facilities,  yet retain their rustic character with thick stone walls  and original beams, sleeping between two and fifteen, where there is large under cover patio for dining,  with  separate BBQ , and games, table tennis, darts, Boules. Very tranquil  atmosphere,  situated within 25 acres  of unspoilt land for picnics, nature walks, relaxing, in the countryside amongst vineyards, and woodlands.

Let together or separately, all fully equipped/separate entrances. Comfortably   furnished , with TV, DVD, Radio /CD  settees , cushions, paintings. Dining facilities with cooking and eating utensils to cater for double the amount of guests for each cottage for your convenience.  Kitchens   are fully equipped with washing machines, dish -  washers, microwave, fridge/freezers, kettles, toasters. All linen, towels, gas, water, electricity is  inclusive in the peak season.

The swimming pool is 12m x 6m, is shared with the letting accommodation and chambre d'hote, has under water flood lights and is totally enclosed for security. Offering a sheltered haven for  sunbathing, with a fully equipped pool house and terrace, which also has a separate BBQ, separate dining tables, and a large  dining table to sit fourteen people for larger families. The pool area has its own sun   loungers,  tables  and  parasol’s (for 16 people) plus there is a playing  area with  swings for the younger children. Surrounded  by rockeries, in a  vast garden, where you can admire stunning views of the Black Mountains and the Pyrenees,  and the sunset.

On the edge of the village of Laure Minervois, an ancient wine-producing village with shops, including baker,  shops,  post office, bar, and a cave for local wine tasting, from the Minervois.  The Aude region has the most beautiful fir tree forests in France  with their lakes for perfect leisure activities.  We are  close to, Caunes-Minervois,   with its Gothic and Renaissance residences, and its Benedictine Abbey.   Rieux-Minervois, with its Romanesque church.   Also the village of  Trebes situated  on the canal du Midi, all with café's, bars and restaurants. Seventeen kilometres away from the fabulous medieval  “Citi” of Carcassonne, which has two sites, declared World Heritage sites by UNESCO; the Canal du Midi and the “Cite”, making  Carcassonne a very important tourist location.

Laure Minervois itself, has a post office, bar/restaurant, tabac/grocers, general store, bakers, butchers, chemist, doctors. There are also several private and co-operative caves for sampling the local wines and bars/restaurants and cafe's, plus supermarkets and convenience shops all within a 3 to 15 minute drive from the Domaine de Palatz at Laure, Caunes, Trebes, Villeneuve, Pyriac and Rieux.

The Mediterranean beaches and  the Pyrenees 30 mins.  The   Spanish border  is  about one and a half hours drive and Tax-Free Andorra two hours drive. Barcelona 300km, Toulouse 100 km, Narbonne plage  and leisure park 70km, waterfall of Cubservies 90m high, 17km, Falconry zoo 17km, Pre-historic cave of Limousis close-by,  18  hole  golf  at Carcassonne,  tennis 20 mins,  horse riding 20 mins.  Canal du Midi is close for boat hire and fishing. Water activities – canoeing on the river Aude.  Swimming , aquatic sports on the lakes of the Montage Noire. Bowling, laser-quest at Carcassonne.  Wine tasting – wines of Cabardes,  Limoux and  Minervois, restaurants  -   traditional dishes like Cassoulet and Mediterranean cuisine.   Several  local  markets,  castles, and abbeys.  (other information brochures are available in the cottages)

Vacation for the connoisseur of wine, young at heart, the romantic, or simply relax in the tranquil surroundings of the property.

Cottage 1: sleeps 6 persons – Main bedroom - twin beds, Medium bedroom ( which is accessed through main bedroom) – double bed. Separate area for wardrobes. bathroom/shower/WC.
Downstairs, smaller Bedroom ( access off  lounge ) full size bunk beds. Lounge/dinning area seats six,  kitchen., fully equipped.

Cottage 2: sleeps  2- 4 persons – Bedroom - double bed, fully fitted  kitchen – seats four,  lounge – double bed settee, large bathroom/shower/wc.

Cottage 3: sleeps 5 persons – bedroom – double bed, half bedroom with single bed, shower/WC,  Large lounge/  double bed settee, sofa. Tables, fully equipped  kitchen – seats six.

For the winter months ski resorts are only 1-2 hrs away.

Cots can be provided, linen not included. Pool towels are available on request.
