The Apartments:
Type T2, 6 person apartment is 38m² and has a balcony with 2 deck chairs and a small lounge with double sofa bed, and a table and chairs with a breakfast bar separating the kitchen area. This is equipped with a dishwasher, fridge, 2 electric rings and a mini oven and electric coffee maker. There is 1 bedroom with twin beds, and bunk beds in a passage area, with a bathroom with bath and shower fitment, and a toilet. The apartments are tiled throughout, with carpet in the bedroom. All the apartments come with pillows and blankets.

With direct access to the famous long sandy beach by approx 50m pathway in the dunes, plus a swimming pool, which is situated between the apartments and the golf club. Most have great balcony sea views and over to the golf practice area, with the front door facing the golf course lake and forest. For the keen golfers, we suggest taking a ground floor apartment for better access with your golf trolley even if the view is less spectacular than a higher floor. Close to the Thalasso, sailing and tennis centres.

St Jean de Monts is a famous seaside resort on the Vendee coast, with its fine sandy beach over 8km long, believed to be one of the best in France. During the summer season St Jean has all the modern sides of a bustling beach town, including an excellent 18 hole golf course, spa resort, sailing centre and horse riding centres. Various cultural and sporting activities are held all summer long. Saint Gilles Croix de Vie is a boating centre as well as a seaside resort, with a large working port, and the centre of town is busy all year round, with many varied festivals.

Nearby is the little town called Commequiers which has a fun mode of transport: the bike train, from which you can enjoy the local countryside. Challans is the capital of this compact area, and you can hire a canoe or a yole (a local flat bottomed boat) to visit the local area of reclaimed marshes and their working windmills, Chateauneuf, St Reverend, or the Moulin Raire. The old village of Sallertaine has many craft shops and tradesmen still working in the shops including jewellery, pottery, wicker and weaving. The Marais Vendean has many interesting historical monuments including the castle at La Garnache with its French gardens, the Ile Chauvet abbey at Bois de Cene, or the old Ferronniere manor house at Froidfond. Don't forget to taste the local specialities : the corn fed Challans poultry and duck.

Aprement is a little village which has a Renaissance castle that overhangs a pretty lake, very popular for wind surfers and those who want to get away from the bustle of the beaches. You can even hire a canoe or a pedalo on the lake.
