La Garenne – Southern Brittany
4 charming thatched cottages with private heated swimming pool in a scenic riverside location, (nearest sandy beach 20-25 minutes) 3 cottages – sleep 4-5. 1 cottage sleeps 6-7.

With an abundance of charm and character, La Garenne’s four thatched cottages are superbly situated in a peaceful country valley with glorious views and extensive grounds sloping down to the gently meandering River Blavet. Superbly renovated, it has been said that these cottages, which date back 200 years, now vie with the most beautiful in Brittany. The numerous facilities include a private heated swimming pool (open May to September inclusive), table tennis, badminton, swings and boules. The 3 acres of grounds have colourful flowers and extensive areas of lawn. The river is popular for fishing and boat trips. Canoeing is available locally. There is an authentic Breton family restaurant a short walk along the scenic tow-path which is also great for cycling with little cafes and restaurants dotted along the way. Nearest sandy beach approximately 20-25 minutes. Carnac, with its famous megalithic stones and excellent beach is approximately 30-40 mins. The small town of Languidic with all facilities including a market, is approximately 5 minute drive away. The historic town of Hennebont with one of the best markets in Brittany is just a few minutes further. There are 5 golf course within 40 minutes. A mild climate and plenty to see and do also make it ideal for a spring or autumn break. Changeover day is Friday in Summer but flexible at other times.

Accommodation:

Le Pressoir, Le Fournil and La Chaumiere (sleep 4 +1). Double bedroom (in Le Pressoir and Le Fournil there is a galleried bedroom) twin bedroom, fold away bed or cot on request. Lounge with wood burning stove. Fitted kitchen with fridge and freezer, electric hob, oven, microwave and dishwasher. Dining area. Bathroom with over bath shower and WC.

La Grange (sleeps 6+1). Additionally this has a second fridge and washing machine, twin bedroom and en suite bathroom to master bedroom. Larger lounge with fold away bed and cot on request. Lockable double doors connect La Grange with La Chaumiere to create accommodation for 10-12.

Outside: Each cottage has its own sitting area with furniture, BBQ and private parking. Gate access to the tow-path by the river. Shared washing machine and drier.
