On the Atlantic Coast with its mild climate and its 300 miles of sandy beaches, Chataigne house is set in the countryside amidst sunflowers and forests in large attractive gardens. The working port of  La Rochelle, the town of  Royan and the islands of Oléron, Aix and Ré are within easy reach and offer many attractions. Poitiers and Futuroscope are close by. The towns of Sauzé Vaussais and Lezay are 5 miles away with shops, banks, restaurants and markets. Horse riding, tennis and golf are all available, with lakes and many water activities within the region. There is a large well stocked fishing lake 100 metres away.

Pine and Yew cottages, form part of  a tasteful barn conversion, providing charming, though compact accommodation. In both cottages you will find a lounge with a table and chairs, comfortable bed settee, TV/video and a selection of books, toys and games. The corner kitchen is fully equipped, plus they have a shower room with basin and toilet. There is a shared laundry room with washing machine, iron/ironing board and a chest freezer. 
On the first floor, the cottage has 1 twin bedroom. 

The very large garden has plenty of room for children to play safely, with swings, slide, climbing frame, sand pit, boules court, table tennis, basketball net and a net for badminton or volleyball. Bicycles are available at no charge. There is a large swimming pool, which is shared with 4 other small gites and the  property has its own patio furniture and BBQ, with lots more furniture throughout the gardens.
