On the Atlantic Coast with its mild climate and its 300 miles of sandy beaches, Chataigne house is set in the countryside amidst sunflowers and forests in large attractive gardens. The working port of  La Rochelle, the town of  Royan and the islands of Oléron, Aix and Ré are within easy reach and offer many attractions. Poitiers and Futuroscope are close by. The towns of Sauzé Vaussais and Lezay are 5 miles away with shops, banks, restaurants and markets. Horse riding, tennis and golf are all available, with lakes and many water activities within the region. There is a large well stocked fishing lake 100 metres away.

Chataigne is furnished as a family home, with a lounge with wood burning stove, TV with satellite, video, stereo and double bed settee. The kitchen is fully fitted with electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave etc, and there is a small utility room with toilet, basin and washing machine. Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom with French doors leading into the garden.
Upstairs, the double master bedroom is en-suite, and there are two further bedrooms each with 1 double and 1 single bed. There is also a bathroom with bath and shower attachment. 
The property is furnished to an extremely high standard, with carpeting and quality fixtures and fittings as the norm.

The very large garden has plenty of room for children to play safely, with swings, slide, climbing frame, sand pit, boules court, table tennis, basketball net and a net for badminton or volleyball. Bicycles are available at no charge. There is a large swimming pool, which is shared with 4 other small gites on the site, and the  property has its own patio furniture and BBQ, with lots more furniture throughout the gardens. 

Linen  provided for a  small charge of £5 per bed.
