A large self-catered stone cottage, the only one in Indre et Loire which has been awarded 5 Stars by the French National Hotel Classification. It is located on 1.2 acres of landscaped property, close to the owner's home, with a heated swimming pool and panoramic view over a peaceful valley. Fully equipped to welcome 5 persons, beautiful setting, full services. The oasis of the Loire Valley only 3 hours from Paris.

Located south of the Loire Valley in the French countryside, classified world patrimony by the UNESCO, 30 miles south of Tours, between Descartes, birthplace of the famous philosopher, and Sainte Maure de Touraine, town of famous goat cheese, on the road between Sepmes and Marcé Sur Esves; very well located to visit all the famous Chateaux of the Loire Valley.

Accommodation:
La Bergerie, is composed of a main level with a large living-dining area with a fireplace, equipped with a convertible sofa and 2 armchairs. Satellite TV, video recorder, DVD ( new! ) CD player , books and many games, so you can bring all of your favourite CD's and movies.

It has an open, fully equipped American style kitchen , electric oven, vitroceramic cooking range, dishwasher, microwave oven, refrigerator, freezer, dishes and kitchen utensils for 8/10 persons.

A separate bedroom with queen size bed. TV, secured closed fireplace. A first level with a lovely bedroom (3 single beds), TV & video overlooking the valley.

A second staircase that leads to the bathroom : bathtub, separate shower with hydrojets, double wash basins and hairdryer, washing/drying machine, overlooking the valley.

There are 2 fireplaces, the pool is warmed in the summer season and the cottage is equipped with a safe for your peace of mind.

Swimming in the warmed-up pool overlooking the valley, at no extra charge.( open from mid-May until mid-September ).

Ping-pong, bicycles, swings, indoors and outdoors games, ( rubber rings, air mattress ), books etc, and for your pleasure, we are now equipped with a professional Jacuzzi.  Horseback and pony riding, canoe, kayak and tennis are available 5 miles away. Golf available within 45 minutes drive, one of Europe's greatest golf courses.

Visits to nearby Chateaux, Chinon, Blois, Chambord, Chenonceau, etc, including the magnificent medieval city of LOCHES, home of beautiful Agnès Sorel (1422-1450), mistress of King Charles VII, called La Dame de Beauté. The unique Royal Abbey of FONTEVRAUD, The gorgeous gardens of VILLANDRY, and RICHELIEU, historic and culturally rich birthplace of the famous Cardinal as well as many others. Visit  TOURS, city of art and history, capital of the kingdom of France, center of the famous Loire chateaux valley, its museums, its gardens , its festivals and its thirty markets !

The rental fee includes: Dinner, (Dinner is not included if Special Offer or short stay ( less than a week ), drinks on the evening of your arrival , in our home or on the outdoor terrace ( depending on the weather ). Veranda Dining room, Welcome drink (homemade walnut wine). Sheets, bath towels, bath robes, swimming pool towels. Wood for the fireplace, charcoal for the barbecue.

New: For the comfort of our clientele, La Bergerie is now equipped with a high performance babyphone system between the pool, the garden and the children's bedroom.

Options: You can buy fresh bread, "croissants" and "pains au chocolat" , delivered in the morning every day except Monday by our local baker. ( to be paid directly by you ). UGO will let you taste and discover all the marvellous natural regional wines, the Chinon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon and so much more.
