Le Pigeonnier is a wonderfuly restored house that forms part of a large domaine nestling in a large valley. The property stands in its on grounds with large gardens with boundaries to the farmed fields beyond. Indeed a great hideaway.

It has a highly unusual & private courtyard pool area with a door from there leading onto the large gardens beyond.
From entering the front door you will feel the charm of this property & turning left you will pass through the dining room with its spectacular wooden table & bench seats, and enter the well fitted and spacious kitchen, which is equipped with all modern facilities.
Turning right from the entrance hall way takes you up into the main living space in the house which is beautifully furnished to a very high standard, with large comfy sofas, & many antique furniture items. This is a magnificent room, very homely & welcoming. There is also a book & games corner nook.

Doors from this wonderful room open onto both the private courtyard pool area & onto the gardens & views beyond.
There is also a laundry room accessed through the courtyard with both washing machine & tumble dryer.

Also on this level, before you reach the living area is the master bedroom, with 4 poster style bed and a complete ensuite bathroom comprising of a corner bath, separate stand alone shower unit, 2 fitted sinks all with high quality fitments, truly luxurious.

Leading up from the dining room is the staircase into the Pigeonnier where the two other bedrooms are situated. The first bedroom being a twin room, with again beautiful finishing touches to give it that extra special feel of comfort. The last bedroom up the stairs again is another double room finished with charm & care, which also has its own sink unit fitted.
Back in the entrance hall is a separate WC & another shower room with hand basin.

Montréal is just a few kms away & has bars, restaurants, banks & many other facilities. This property is enviably well located for exploring this historic & glorious region. Fanjeaux the historic hilltop town is just a few kms & about 20 mins drive will take you to Mirepoix with its medieval square & regional Monday market. The ancient cité of Carcassonne never fails to win admiration from visitors. The higher Pyrenees are only an hour away & all the Cathar castles are within easy reach. With close by access to the A 61 the sunny Mediterranean beaches are just an hour or so away & 2 hours will see you in Catalonia where you can explore Figueres, Gerona & the northern Costa Brava.
