These stone-built traditional Quercy-style gites are in a rural setting, 3 kms from the village of Le Bouyssou, with the nearest shops 7 kms away in Lacapelle Marival. Figeac and several other towns provide more extensive shopping.

The adjoining gites  are built at an angle, designed so that each is completely private, with its own fenced area for sitting or enjoying a barbecue outside. The houses have been restored to a very comfortable standard without losing the natural beauty of an old building. They are fully equipped with all you need for a relaxed holiday. The extensive wooded grounds, sun terrace and petanque court are available to guests as is the full-size swimming pool, which is shared with the owners. The whole property, together with the owner’s house, is set on a south-facing hill with superb views over the countryside. The area is full of historic places to visit from chateaux to underground grottos and there are many local activities – honey production, walnut oil, foie gras – and of course the food and wine of the area are superb. For the animal and bird lovers, there are a number of parks in the area showing rare animals, eagles and other wild life in their natural surroundings. A warm welcome is assured by the owners, Louise and Mark, who will be happy to provide more information on this beautiful part of the country.

L’Arche: The accommodation comprises:

Lower floor: 1 bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom equipped with basin, bath and toilet, exposed beams.

First floor:

• Living/dining room with kitchenette (dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer, gas cooker with hood and microwave). Sofa bed, colour TV, exposed beams and stone wall.

• 1 bedroom with double bed.

• Separate toilet

• Separate thermostatically controlled shower room with basin.

La Tourelle: The accommodation comprises:

Ground floor: Large living/dining room with kitchenette (dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer, gas cooker with hood and microwave). Sofa bed, colour TV, exposed beams.

First floor: 2 bedrooms with double beds each with en-suite bathroom equipped with toilet, basin and thermostatically controlled shower.

There is also a single folding bed available as well as a cot and baby seat if required.
