Superbly situated in an exceptional Medieval village, this villa enjoys complete privacy and far reaching views across the Provence countryside towards Ventoux. It is just a short walk from the village centre with all its amenities, including and excellent bakery, a bank, and a good restaurant. Set in 3000m of mature gardens, with walnut, cherry and pine trees, there are two levels, one having the 9 x 4.5 m swimming pool with well tended lawns, the other having a covered dining terrace, with views across the luxurious garden.

Barbentane is a historic Provencal town with many monuments dating back to the Roman era, as well as a beautiful renaissance "La Maison des Chevaliers" and a regal 17th century chateau. Wonderful walks can be enjoyed in the La Montagnette hills just south of the villa, and there are many summer festivals to enjoy including the spectacular "Le Feu de la St. Jean" in June, choral singing in August and a traditional and colourful "Carreto Ramado" (Provencal folk festival.) Visit Avignon, just 10kms, with it's excellent restaurants, boat rides and 18 hole golf course, or Arles, 31 kms, with its Roman arena and Vincent Van Gogh trail. Nimes with its Roman buildings "Maison Carre" temple and the "Arenes" (still used for bull fights) is just 39 kms. There is a multitude of interesting places to visit, including Marseilles 97kms, Beaucaire and Tarascon 15kms, Montpellier 88kms, and St. Remy de Provence 19kms.

The Villa: has a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, fridge and oven, as well as a washing machine in the utility room adjoining. The living / dining area is comfortably furnished in "Vielle France" style, with some antique pieces and a piano, and there is a separate small library / TV. room. Also downstairs are two bedrooms, one double and one twin, a bathroom and a separate W.C. A staircase leads to the upper floor with two further bedrooms, both pleasantly furnished, one double and one twin, both of which have en-suite shower rooms.

Cleaning available, hourly charge. Electricity included, 100kwhrs. Sheets/Towels available.
