This 19© Manor House, is set in its own
large private grounds, in the middle of the countryside. On the edge of the
Bordeaux wine region and just a half hour drive from the ancient town of St
Emilion, with its wonderful churches and medieval buildings, it is well
situated for exploring the region. You will get a fascinating insight into
the production of the world famous brandy in nearby Cognac, and the chic
shopping centre of nearby Bordeaux is worth a visit. On Sunday mornings
there is an antique/flea market sprawling through the cobbled streets, and
there is also a large out of town shopping centre. Just a few kilometers
away is the start of the Dordogne region with its many rivers and stunning
countryside. There are numerous activities nearby, including canoeing, horse
riding, cycling and tennis; and there are many opportunities for swimming,
fishing and boating on nearby lakes and rivers.
The Manor: has been tastefully
restored and has a fully fitted kitchen with all modern amenities, and a
spacious lounge with log fire, satellite TV and a conservatory dining room.
Off the galleried landing there are 4 large double bedrooms, each
furnished in different styles and to the highest standard, one having a
four poster bed. They are all en-suite with either bath or shower.
The Lodge: being more
simple in style, borders open countryside and has been completely restored
providing comfortable accommodation. |
